Now, don’t get me wrong, I am all about the pie on Thanksgiving. It just wouldn’t be the same if my mom didn’t make my grandmother’s apple pie recipe! However, I do like to mix things up and try at least one alternate dessert every year. It’s really the only flexible part of our holiday feast.
We are very particular about how the turkey gets cooked & what goes into the stuffing. We like our sweet corn casserole and our sweet potato casserole. There isn’t really room for other sides and we’re not about to give up a traditional dish. There’s always room for more dessert, though!
