Save 30% Your Order During the Cratejoy Christmas in July Sale (Details)
*FYI: I’m a Cratejoy affiliate, so I earn a small commission if you buy anything through my links.
First, the details: Cratejoy’s Christmas in July event runs from now through 7/17/21. During this time, you’ll save 30% off hundreds of subscription boxes with a 3+ month prepay using code HOHOHOT30. Only the boxes on that page are eligible, but there are roughly 490 of them!
If you miss the sale, don’t worry; you can still find pretty decent discounts on a lot of boxes on Cratejoy. Just find one you’re interested in, go to their description page, then look for the mint-green box above the “subscribe” section. It’ll look like this:
5 Awesome Subscription Boxes to Buy During the Sale
Today is my last vacation day, so I’m keeping this short. Here’s a quick peek at a few of the boxes I’m considering buying during the sale to add to my “gift closet.”
1. Monthly Mocktail Box – Raising the Bar
Perfect for: People who love mocktails and cocktails. Even though it’s geared towards non-alcoholic mocktails, mixologists can still use the ingredients to create boozy drinks, too.
What you get in each box: A curated selection of 4-8 non-alcoholic cocktail ingredients. Each box comes with enough stuff to make at least four servings of the that month’s special themed mocktail, plus either garnish or a piece of barware.
Cost: Starts at $42 a month (before coupon)
Options (Sizes): None. They keep it simple by offering one box for all subscribers.
2. My Thrill Club
Perfect for: Fans of horror, mystery and thriller novels.
What you get in each box: Two new hardcover books from both best-selling and new writers. Plus, if you email them, you’ll get a bonus eBook.
Options (Sizes): Choose from Horror, Mystery, Thriller or “Surprise Me” boxes.
3. Étoile Box
Perfect for: People who love cruelty-free self-care products from women-owned businesses.
What you get in each box: Each box comes with 6-8 self-care items all curated from women-owned mall businesses. All of the beauty and body products are cruelty-free and organic. Other items include stylish accessories, home décor, and tasty treats.
It looks like this month’s box includes hair ribbons (I LOVE these, they don’t hurt my head like regular scrunchies), earrings, a key chain, a scarf, and more.
Options (Sizes): Just one.
4. Paper Kitty
Perfect for: Students, journalers, and scrapbookers.
What you get in each box: Depending on which box you choose, you’ll get either 5-8 or 8-12 fun stationary items, including really great pens, staplers, memos, papers, and more. One thing I love, they’re not counting every single tiny piece of paper or paper clip as an “item,” so you actually get more overall.
- PAPER BLISS with 5-8 items
- PAPER OVERHAUL with 8-12 items
- KITTY BLISS with 5-8 cat-themed items.
- SWAN BLISS with 5-8 “more refined and traditional stationery items.”
5. Paradise Delivered Premium Box
Perfect for: People who really need a vacation!
What you get in each box: 7-8 spa-inspired items inspired by stunning tropical destinations. Examples include books, skincare items, jewelry, fashion accessories and more. Every box comes with at least $200 worth of goodies. This is a really great box to “shop” from for stocking stuffers, hostess gifts and other gifts.
Options (Sizes): Just one.
Like I said in my teen subscription box post last month, I like to buy a bunch of different ones (usually just one or two months’ worth) and break them apart into smaller gifts. I use individual items from each to fill stockings, gift baskets and what not. Since the contents of most boxes exceeds the purchase price, it’s a great way to stretch a tiny shopping budget.
I tried to pick boxes that I didn’t already mention in other posts. If you didn’t find something you love here, check out my subscription boxes category for more ideas.
