Today’s Armchair BEA suggested writing prompt is the Best of 2011. Since we’re only halfway through the year, I thought I would break this up into two sections, one suggestion was to break this up into the best that we’ve already read and the books coming out that we hope will top that list throughout the rest of the year. I like this idea, because I can share a little about what I’m looking forward to reading.

I’ve read about 30 books so far this year (I do a lot more reading over the summer, when all my favorite shows are on hiatus). Here are a few of my favorites so far, in the order that I read them. Clicking on the image will take you to my review of the book if I did one, otherwise it will take you to Amazon to read more about the book.

For the second part, I’m looking forward to so many different books that you’d be here all day if I listed all of them, so I’m only listing the five that I think I’m looking forward to the most. Of course, this could change at any time as I become aware of additional titles.
